Tortuguero National Park is located on the Caribbean Coast in the province of Limon‚ about 80 km
northeast of the city of Limon.
The Tortuguero National Park is crossed by numerous canals and lagoons offering to its visitors
a unique opportunity to experience the lush flora and fauna. In this park you’ll find the wildest areas
in Costa Rica‚ with the greatest biological variety.
Eleven habitats have been identified and 2‚000 species of plants and 400 species of trees. There are
also a wide variety of wildlife. In it‚ you will not only see the existing amount of monkeys‚ frogs‚ iguanas‚
fish‚ crocodiles‚ manatees‚ lions and many other species of animals‚ also you’ll see the awesome sight
of turtles in the sublime act of nesting and spawning mainly Leatherback turtles‚ Green Turtles‚
Hawksbill and Knight.
